Bodwyn’s June Bug Notes sort out the Sociabledemocrats from the GramscoFabians

David Davis

Our most esteemed and sharp-eyed American commentator, who often corrects out insights firmly but politely, and who thus fulfils an important role on this blog without either of us having meant it, rounds up the month of June.

As to where we all are? It’s 1st July 2009, and while President  Barack Obama has cleverly failed to do anything that’d get him too closely noticed by the wrong people, we still are in the clutches of Gordon Brown, who does not seem to understand any of the parts of the two-word-abstraction  “General Election”.

I, as an admirer of the USA as a civilisation, wish it well. As a result, I /want/ its presidents to succeed generally in their stated objectives such as this one, and not to fail or become impotent in the world … and one was /not/thinking of Bill Clinton or poor tormented Monica Lewinsky here… [stuff deleted – Ed.]

Do I want Gordon Brown to succeed – in borrowing his way out of debt [a tautology surely?] and then winning an election by pretending how smart he was? You judge.

  1. Neither. The reputations of both will fade into dust equally fast. it may take a couple of generations, but when we are burdened with all the burdens of the Coming Endarkenment, which our current masters and sleb-creators have saddled us with, we shall all realise that neither of these people was important at all.
