That lot are pretending to be slobs with terrible dress-sense, and they do it very well and it’s part of their brand, so they should look like slobs.

I think this is especially weird because of what sort of show Top Gear is. I could understand with a few of the other shows that are getting mentioned in the articles about this, but most of the time in Top Gear they’re doing something physical/messy/whatever. Do viewers honestly want to see them in jeans in the challenge videos and then suits and ties during the “live” portion? That would be so weird.
