Kirk Smeade’s treatment shows that some things about student unions haven’t changed since my student days in the Seventies. They’re still full of pompous PC feminists with no sense of humour. For a “democracy and comunications officer” to suppress free speech exposes them as a hypocrite. No action should even be taken against students for what they say, be it misogynistic, homophobic, transgenderphobic or whatever. UCL should both refuse to take any action against Kirk and tell the students’ union to stop persecuting him. He and his friends should just go into union areas and defy the Reds to throw him out.

Yes Mark – whoever was behind Kirk Smeade stuff (he denies he did it himself) was rude, offensive, they were not gentlemen.
But being rude or offensive is not a CRIME – it should not be PUNISHED (other than by other people turning their backs).
The P.C. (Frankfurt School of Marxism) idea that rudeness (or what other people regard as rudeness) should be PUNISHED – is an evil (yes – evil) position.
Well, er, it’s really our fault: that is to say: the generation of fellas that came to teenhood say between 1945 and 1970.
We could have simply “debagged” all these nasty GramscoFabiaNazi bastards that we found springing up in our midst. Jesus H Christ knows why the fuck all these bastards suddenly started sprouting out of the woodwork just then. They’re all in power now, like Daniel “Danny” Cohn-Bendit who sleighted Vaclav Klaus in his own office, and Gastriq Ali, and the Verhofstadt person, and that other fella whose name I can’t remember, McShane or something, and Christopher Tooky and so on.
We could have “debagged them” behind the bike-sheds, or behind the football-boot-racks, while everybody else’s back was turned, and this would have solved their problem with themselves, and they would have instead turned into conservative-minimal-statists, which would have been better (for the planet) than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick I guess.
Or, better, we could have “scragged” them. (If I tell you what scragging is, I then will have to kill you.)
Or we could just have “pill-and-twicked-them”, having “debagged” them. (Don’t ask what that is, please. I again will have to kill you.)
Or we could have just cut off their willies and bollocks, there and then, and that would be an end of the matter. But we didn’t so it’s probably our fault.
Mr Blake may write a novel in which a robot gets sent back to 1969 with a long list of names and addresses and plenty of ammunition. Would it be illegal to suggest names of those still alive for that list?
In a article in the Leicester Mercury about a local uni, I posted this today and it was deleted:
โTaxpayers also subsidise universities, even if they never went. So they don’t like seeing money wasted on lavish buildings, gyms and luxury either, which has nothing to do with ‘education’. It is more about the so-called ‘student experience’ and it inflates the cost of tuition fees for all.
And lots of students waste their loans on holidays and commodities. This inflated bubble is gonna burst.
When DMU gained university status over 20 years ago it set about reshaping the whole area in its image without consultation. This devastated the local community and that’s why the surrounding area is such a dump.โ
Mercury replied:
โThank you for your email. Your comment was removed following a complaint that it was defamatory. The comment in the complaint was that the university did not behave outside the law. In your comment you stated as fact that whenDMU gained university status over 20 years ago it set about reshaping the whole area in its image without consultation. We considered this comment was defamatory in light of the complaint.

My other post was deleted too:
โTo paraphrase one of Robert Crumb’s typically foaming strips:
‘University is just a racket! A HOAX perpetrated on the public by so-called politicians who set themselves up on a pedestal, and promoted by deceitful ivory-tower intellectuals and whining egalitarians who think the world owes them a living!’โ
When you remove the process of open debate on campus, you take away higher eduction’s reason for existence. These days, those with the highest level of education tend to have the lowest level of exposure to conflicting points of view. This leads to polarised groups where people harbour a comfortable uncritical certainty that they are always right. Hence โ establishment bias. It must come as a shock when they ‘learn’ that their views arenโt shared by everybody.
The only ‘hate crime’ complaint made against me so far is when I jokingly suggested that the students who kept me awake every night should be put in concentration camps and other nasty stuff. I was questioned by police who told me I’d upset some ‘top people’, but it only led to a verbal caution. Got a love letter from the then vice-chancellor too โ but he soon retracted when I showed him a video of what his students got up to. This was several years ago. Apparently, the university refused to attend any community meeting where I might be present.
Who is Kirk Smeade, what has he done, and what has been done to him?
Ian B, this is not uncommon, I have had many articles blocked on the tory
type sites, I do put articles on european sites, they do not do this, did you
say something true for instantance, or derimental it’s common!
Some of these blogs are not as democratic as they make you believe, I have on many occassions, put a lot of time and effort into preparing proof read articles, some of the blogs just reject them, I did one last week, perfect in every respect, spell checked, tabbed, the blog vetted it and turned it down, there was to much truth in it for them to handle, some sites or organisations don’t like the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!
I think Mr Blake should write that novel. But perhaps it would be better to get a ChIndoBrazilian or a ChIndIranian publisher. The way things are going, these countries will have freer presses and more open publishing than we will. Plus, I’m not sure what the law is about writing real names into historical novels, in which the baddies are real people who really get wasted: there’s probably a law against it now, here (but maybe not in ChIndIran or other liberal places.)
It would be interesting, for example, to trawl the IP-addresses of lookers-in to this blog, if we said that one of the names on the Robot’s list was a teenage boy at Fettes College. Or that the one who really caused the “banking crisis” was then a Rhodes-scholar at Oxford. The results would tell us to what degree one is being watched.
I think Brazil a good idear, they have a reasonable free press, free laws on porn as well so it seems, Of course there does appear to be many lookers on the blog, I wonder why they fail to comment, are they scared of the none democracy we live in, I think we are all being watched, i had an old business associate of mine one of his relatives worked for GCHQ apparently they do have the resources to monitor computors and users, so he say’s and do this on a frequent basis, i think that’s why that tory lot likes to collect Emails and mobile phone numbers, you alway’s find when you make any formal complaint to police they try hard to get your email, probably plug you into the system and run a check, I think the wild goose chase example is good one, of government and police get up to a lot the public don’t ever get to hear about, you can bet your last dollar that all political blogs are under their watchful, I mean this must be a conclusive fact, noting on the recent interest on blogs by government, put 2 and 2 together, they would not be able to make such a statement had they not have been monitoring various blogs, to obtain the information in the first place, I think the conclusion is, britain has gone bad, it’s a run by an oppressive regime, we are heading for an existance like that of the german concentration camp, but the whole Island will become a concentration camp, enforced by police along with corrupted judges, barristers and lawyers a three pronged attack on freedom. Where democracy is held in the hands of minority goons and psychopaths that control law and order and run state utilities, you have to face the real facts, the country has become a total totaliterian shitter, much like germany under hitler, however he did not even go this far with his own people, democracy, freedom, and justice in the UK is done for, the sooner people realise these facts the better, they will be able to adjust the conditions of the “New State Controled Open Prison” they have turned the country into!
I think any intelligent person can make rational comparisons, before me on the table, I have two apples, two oranges, two pears, and two lemons, I now which is which, because I now what they are in discriptive and visionary reality. lets take the this idear further into the world or reading and understanding, we read a book on a certain subject or policital ideology or system, we are are educated in this area, so we know the know the “Stasi” past tense, we see the same “stasi” taking control in a future tense, and who was the fool who said history counld not repeat it’s self at a different time in a different place!
I have just been having a look through the new draft laws on press regulation, this is really “Scary Stuff Indeed” the clause 29 does indicate some very serious concerns, clause 29, any blogger who generates News Material where there is an editorial strcture giving control over publication will fall into this catagory, many websites will now fall into this definition and could find themselves subject to very heavy fines and damages.
SINGLE BLOGGERS: These will fall under the term of relevant publisher in relation to “Exemplary Damages”, from my knowledge of the law it will no doubt work as thus, a single blogger could find himself subject to high damages and court costs in relation to the publication and disclosures of any News Material. There was an interesting artical posted on the “Scotsman” 45 minutes ago, personally I think I will stop using the UK blogs, and switch to the republcan ones and european ones instead, at least at the moment there is the retention of democracy for the time being. I know the authorities will enforce this, when I tried to release the fact I had been subject to secret trials and detentions they came after me like a shot to silence me about what had gone on, I think it’s going to be a North Korea type of affair in the UK, that’s a No.No. for me folks.,
For 24 years I’ve living next door to Alice.
Who the fuck is Kurt Smeade?
That’s what I want to know too, but it appears to be a secret.
Well don’t expect me to tell you all. Mark Taha obviously thought it was worth writing about. Can’t you do a Google search? When you’ve found your answer, you might share it with me.
I’ve searched Google and Bing and neither of them appear to have heard of Mr Smeade. Hence, my question. If no answer is forthcoming, I may put it on a tee-shirt and attempt to start a “Who is Kirk Smeade?” meme.
Perhaps Mark misspelled the name. I suggest, however, that we should carry on as if we did know what we were talking about. I do it all the time, and am hardly ever caught out.
Paul seems to know Kirk. Maybe it’s a Kettering thing.
No it is a London thing – University College London I think.
The lad’s mates put him up as a candidate for “Women’s Officier”- under the slogan “Because Bitches Deserve Better” (the campaign went down hill from there).
Of couse it was a all a joke (although one in bad taste) – but then the post of “Women’s Officer” is a joke itself (in even worse taste), the whole idea is Frankfurt School claptrap.
The story was in the Evening Standard (reported without humour – the KGB man who owns the newspaper does not appear to have a sense of humour) on Wednesday when I was in London (meeting evil representatives of the Zionist Enity – JOKE).
Ah, so you’re the New World Order, Paul. I knew it was you all along.
I can’t find the bugger either. Perhaps it is a pseudonym for something. Has anyone tried de-anagramming it?
I tried de-anagramming David Davis and all I got was… David Davis.

One commenter to the article wants to know what ‘transphobic’ means-well so do I. And so did Google dictionary! .Any offers
Yes I know that one – it is a ‘fear’ That is what phobia means) of ‘transgender’ (people). A friend of mine wanted to join the Fire Brigade (or is it ‘Service’ nowadays?). Amongst their blurb was a proud boast of social facilities which catered for, now let me see if I can remember it all, ‘Gay, Lesbian, Transgender and Intersex’ members. Had to look up ‘intersex’ though.
I remember the good old days when all we had were men & women.
Ian B – you might want to ask Paul Marx why he changed the spelling ๐
