  1. Italian Fascism (like German “War Socialism” in the First World War or German “National Socialism” in the 1930s and early 1940s) was about total control of society (including business) by the state – not a “partnership” or “merging” as some people sometimes claim.

See Ludwig Von Mises “Omnipotent Government” (and previously “Nation, State and Economy”) and F.A Hayek – “The Road to Serfdom”.

Taking of “American Fascism” makes sense in the context of the “National Industrial Recovery Act” of 1933 (itself a radical development of the practices of Woodrow Wilson during the First World – but with a lot of influence from Fascist Italy, this was ADMITTED at the time) – which led to the creation of the “National Recovery Agency” – the jackbooted General Johnson and his “Blue Eagle” thugs trying to monopolise and cartelise every branch of the American economy.

The difference, in the American case, is that the Supreme Court (all nine Justices) struck down the National Recovery Agency in 1935 – and President Franklin Roosevelt (although he was highly abusive and plotted revenge against the Supreme Court) accepted the judgement.

Does Hans-Hermann Hoppe say the above? I do not know – and I have not got the time to find out.

1+1=2 – if Hans-Hermann Hoppe agrees good (excellent), if he thinks 1 + 1 = 7 (for example that the United Stares is a Fascist nation now) I really do-not-want–to-know.

As for the POLITICAL side of Fascism (or National Socialism) – that is a simple matter.

In this sort of dictatorship (such as Putin’s Russia) a “capitalist” (a large scale businessman) who opposes the government is arrested and his business stolen – as Mr Putin has done.

Now Mr Obama may WANT to do this (I do not deny this), but he does not have the POWER to do it – which is why some “capitalists” in the United States are able to publically oppose him.
