Interesting that it is so low for Hungary – but then Hungarian is in a different language group (so it must be difficult for them).
No surprise that the highest figure for people able to speak English in a non official English speaking country is Holland – Dutch is the closest language to English and Friesian is closer.

So 6% of the population of the Republic of Ireland claim not to be able to speak English? Interesting.
The author of this map appears to have donated Shetland back to the Norwegians! I know the Shetland dialect can be difficult for some to understand, but I think that’s going a bit far ๐
