On Show 25, Andy Duncan speaks with one of our Mises UK Faculty members, Doctor Matteo Salonia, who lectures at King’s College in London, in early modern history, from the 15th century to the French Revolution. He’s also author of the recent book, ‘Genoa’s Freedom’. They talk about the influence of Niccolo Machiavelli, the infamous 16th century author of ‘The Prince’, by way of Moses, Romulus, and Jesus, on the modern state and modern politics. They examine how far that influence has stretched into the modern state and also into modern society.
