Britain, we say, was built on Christian values. We accept that as true, without giving much thought to it. Many (most?) of us do not actually live as Christians at all, and would struggle to articulate Christian values. We know nothing and care less about the Christian history of these British Isles. So how can we characterise our country, as we seek to make clear the difference between us and the incoming forces of islam which we see as clearly different, threatening and outright dangerous to our own perception of ourselves and our culture?
How many of us know, for instance, that in the year AD37, the Church at Jerusalem sent one of the Seventy Apostles, named Aristobulus, to Britain as our first Bishop, landing at Hengist Head in company with several others? That he established the Christian faith to grow in this country from that time? This has been acknowledged by several Councils in Rome as making the British Church older than either the Church of Rome or the Church of Greece.
We indeed have an anniversary coming up in just twelve years time of a full two thousand years of Christianity in the British Isles.
That faith did indeed, pretty well exclusively, shape the gradual construction of our institutions over the ensuing centuries. Yet here today, we struggle to resist the onset of alien cultures from atheistic America and antagonistic middle east. Our own home-grown irreligious leaders have seen no threat to our people and their well-being from these highly dangerous incomers who they allow to invade our lslands without let or hindrance.
Isn’t it time for us to sit up and take notice of the single culture-belief system that has persisted through at very least the last five thousand plus years? To recognise what a firm foundation it laid for us here over the past two thousand years? To understand that we are in imminent danger of losing it all to incoming destructive culture that will destroy our security in this life (let alone the next life if you can bring yourself to believe in that)?
It surely is time to start and educate ourselves as to the Christian basis of our society, our government and to ensure that it is reinvigorated and brought back to the forefront of our culture and our governance. The catastrophic decline within our culture of recent decades can only have disastrous consequences for each and every one of us and our children in the imminent future otherwise.

British culture is not the product of the Christian religion alone. When our ancestors (regrettably in my view) adopted the Christian religion, it of course changed their culture, but it didn’t wipe the slate clean.

The most important difference between us and the incoming foreign interlopers is race. They are not nearly as genetically similar to Britons as we are to one another. They are not part of the extended family which more than anything else defines a nation. An indigenous British atheist, neopagan or even Muslim convert is clearly NOT as “different, threatening and outright dangerous” as even a Christian Pakistani or Nigerian. Granted that Christianity is better (or less bad, as I would say it) than Islam: still, if it were just a matter of British people converting to Islam, that would be a totally different situation.
I do not understand what the author means by speaking of a threat to “our own perception of ourselves.” Personally, I don’t find my perceptual faculties dulled by the forces of Islam. What is in danger, or has to a considerable extent already been lost, is our physical safety, our psychological well-being and our political power to determine our own future.
To be ruled over by foreigners, to become a despised and persecuted minority in your own homeland, is a grim fate for any nation. It seems to me that the only way for Europeans to avoid that fate is a great “remigration”: the removal of those who should never have been allowed to live here in the first place.
