To the ‘Know Muhammad’ group
I am considering registering a formal complaint with Norwich City Council for allowing your presentation of Islam at the Forum in August 2013. Had the Council been aware that you hold with the execution of practising homosexuals, I cannot believe they would have approved of your event. I was recently accused of homophobic hatred for simply criticising homosexuality, which is nothing compared with your policy. On this issue, I am surprised that the Norwich Muslim community were as silent as the churches over the concerns I raised and the police harassment I received.
As a ‘soft-sell’ event, your recent presentation was an attempt to deceive for public consumption. As you will see from the attachments, Muhammad was not the kind of person you endeavoured to commend. Neither is Islam a beneficial ideology for the human race. As the recent atrocity in Nairobi proves yet again, Islam is religion of hate not love, of violence not peace. Indeed, your Qur’an and Hadith are justly regarded as hate literature. The following Barnabas information surely demonstrates the validity of these criticisms. The overwhelming suffering depicted in the information demands a serious and considered response. It fully justifies this e-mail, however unwelcome it might be to those intoxicated with political correctness.

This is an important point. There is a basic contradiction between the support of the left for “the rights of women” and “Gay rights” and their support (and it is support – close hand-in-hand relationship) for the Islamists.
The hypocrisy is vile.
I’m amazed this hasn’t come to the fore yet. In their eagerness to appease the Islamists I would have expected the government to adopt Dr Clifford’s line on homosexuals. I wonder how they get away with it?
Clifford’s day job is insulting and taunting homosexuals and Muslims. The fact that he has gone back to it will please no-one, except the xenophobes, homophobes, evangelicals, and sufferers from St. Paul’s problem, who now infest this blog.
You are the infester mate. Get it clear–people do not have to agree with your values–and, if you are defending the RoP–even you don’t agree with your own values as they hate homosexuals with a rather suspect level of passion. All Clifford has done is point out the double standard of leftists–dead against anyone who doesn’t like gays unless that group is another one of their clients.
I agree with both parties right to hold the views they do.
I think both groups hold illiberal views.
It is, however, hypocritical of Alan Clifford to protest his innocence at having an anti-homosexual agenda while threatening to report someone else for having a slightly more literal reading of the same passage that, ultimately, led him to being anti-homosexual.
This all holds ONLY if the group is merely advocating a re-introduction of the death penalty and criminalisation of homosexuality through the political process and the rights of homosexuals to due process under law and that the penalty under law for homosexuality is the state to execute the person. Which seems harsh to me, but some people have strange views.
