I admire him -you don’t. Fair enough but he could hardly walk or cycle to Dubai.
Hugo, those of us who live in hilly areas, and are over a certain age, could hardly walk or cycle to the supermarket. Well, more accurately, we can’t walk or cycle back with all our groceries.
Of course, I exaggerated my point. But do you really think that in Charlie’s view of how the world should be, either you or I would be permitted to do what he does routinely?
Don’t bring me into it – that wasn’t my comment! For the record, I regard Charles as a fool. A man of limited intelligence and a liability to the country whose throne he occupies.
But I suppose, as head of state of this country, he is entitled to travel in style.
But I am more annoyed that Lord Chippendale believes himself to be above sharing a jet with our Prime Minister.
My apologies, Hugo. As you can see, your comments come out as if from Anonymous. It seems we now have two Anonymi on this thread (or should that be Anonymice?) And I managed to confuse the two of you.
I am afraid that, as I see it, anyone that wants to force others to live “nett zero” ought to live “nett zero” themselves. To do otherwise is to be a hypocrite. If they were even half way honest, none of them would have travelled at all. They could have held the meeting by Zoom. Or even better, taken no part in it at all, since CoP activities go directly against the interests of the people of this country, whom they are supposed to serve.
OK – this is really confusing – my reply below (“don’t bring me into it”) is marked as being from ‘anonymous’. I have no idea why, as I never conceal my identity. I am Hugo Miller, from Sunny Sussex. I am not the same ‘anonymous’ who wrote the first reply. No idea who that was!
