What on Earth is going through their minds? Can they possibly believe that is going to be a good idea and not seen as a time wasting gimmick?
Just more proof that the police are a part of the problem, not solution.
Nothing like telling us what we already knew, I was well aware of crime families and connected folk, many of my clients were family offenders. Defending families of fools and knaves was par for the course for a junior barrister.
I imagine there will be another study to inform us why this all happens and so on. The truth is there is more than enough money, the problem is the scale of the salariat at work pushing ever increasing paper mountains rather than doing police work or social work for that matter.
Where is Dixon of Dock Green when you need him. Long gone I fear.
